The journey was never linear. Every chapter shaped the way I build today.

WHERE IT STARTED

Before the companies, there was Detroit.

Before the companies, there was Detroit.

Detroit was the first classroom. Long before technology became the focus, I learned about leadership through family, neighborhoods, community and the people working every day to create opportunity.

Those early experiences shaped the way I still think about responsibility, relationships and impact.

COMMUNITY FIRST

Learning how people and systems move together.

Community work taught me to understand people. Government taught me to understand systems.

Through workforce development and my years working around Detroit government, I saw how policy, institutions, neighborhoods and businesses collide — and how much work it takes to turn an idea into something real.

BUILDING THROUGH COMPLEXITY

Working between government, business and development.

CAPITAL STRATEGIC GROUP / 2011

Founding Capital Strategic Group in 2011 placed me at the intersection of government relations, regulatory strategy, economic development and private enterprise.

The work required learning how to align people and institutions that often entered the room with very different priorities.

EMERGING INDUSTRIES

Opportunity often appears before certainty.

Opportunity often appears before certainty.

Cannabis became one of the most unconventional chapters of my entrepreneurial journey.

Working inside an emerging and heavily regulated industry taught me how quickly business opportunity, government policy, community interests and legal disputes can intersect.

BUSINESS → POLICY → REGULATION → ADVOCACY

THE TURN TOWARD TECHNOLOGY

Eventually, the pieces started connecting.

Community taught me people.
Government taught me systems.
Development taught me scale.
Regulated industries taught me uncertainty.
Entrepreneurship taught me execution.

THERAPLUG

Mental healthcare. Reimagined.

TheraPlug represents the next evolution of the journey — applying technology to a human problem and building a platform designed to make behavioral-health care easier to discover, access and navigate.

Technology isn’t a departure from the earlier chapters. It’s where many of those lessons finally converge.

WHAT’S NEXT

The story isn’t finished.

The story isn’t finished.

Today, my focus is increasingly centered on building companies, technology and teams capable of operating at a larger scale.

Fatherhood also changed the way I think about ambition. The goal isn’t simply to build something successful. It’s to build something meaningful enough to outlast the person who started it.

THE MOST INTERESTING PART IS WHAT COMES NEXT.
